Soap Opera Watcher's Dilemma
I sat down to rest one warm afternoon,
I thought I’d turn the TV on.
To my utter surprise there in front of my eyes
Was a program I thought had long gone!
It captured my thought, I followed it through,
And oh, how it quickly flew by!
It left me in dismay, for ‘twas not over today,
But tomorrow they’d tell me just why.
I got up to turn the TV set off,
But just then they told me, “Stay tuned.”
So I sat there all day, heard the programs all say
That they’d show me the conclusion soon.
Well, now I am hooked, but I do not care,
I’ll watch all these shows till I die.
For each day when they close, they say, “Well, no one knows,
But tomorrow you’ll find out just why!”
