So You Can Hurt Too

You look into my eyes
I hope you see the pain
You do, but you easily look away

Pretending you don't notice
Because you are so afraid
Afraid, that you will feel 
sorry for hurting me

That you may regret losing me
I pray that when you are 
all alone, that your heart 
aches for me

That when you hear a song 
of ours on the radio
That you will listen to it
and think about me
Rather than change it
and brush my memory 
from your mind

And I pray that someday
you're able to really look
into my eyes and feel my pain
So you... can hurt too

Michael Smith November 21, 2011 at 6:42 AM Intense, I could feel the anguish. May I suggest breaking this up into stanzas? I think it would give it more power.
