So Spake Simple Simon

Lasting joy, as in bliss that’s eternal, is a quest upon which all souls embark, found only in staid silence internal and this dear friends, is the honest truth stark. Desire pursuit in the world external plunges us in dungeons of despair dark, so unless we choose to slow down thought flow, tossed like a leaf in the wind, we’ll feel low. 14-March-2023

Yes, our pursuit of joy can become so rigorous that we smother our own chances of finding it. Thoughtful and expressive piece, Unseeking Seeker. Janice

Deep thoughts that bring forth the truth, US. Desire for me is a ship that sailed long ago. Be well!

That’s good to hear! Desire and aversion mirror each other and the rabbit hole goes in deep, down to the subtlest levels of consciousness. Swami Yukteswar Giri had once observed ‘the very presence of form in any realm or domain signals unfulfilled desire’

I'm sure Simple Simon was actually ahead of his time. I tasted a veggie pie today and found myself reaching for the sky.

True, present in the now continuum, thoughts rested, memory released, identity relinquished
