So She Broke Your Heart

So she broke your heart and bled you
left you to drown in dark waters...
melancholia has kept you entombed
so long within its frozen grasp

So she broke your heart and bled you
left you lost in a forest of disenchantment…
stripped your soul like the northern winds
strip bare sturdy oaks

So she broke your heart and bled you
tossed to the Ninth level of Hades...
where your heart has lain in fragments
hope appear as fallen ashes

So she broke your heart and bled you
never look back to what has been
we’re both needing resurrection
let love now stake its claim

Sorry I can not spend the entire day reading all your works. Perhaps tonight I can read more. I saw beautiful spirit and generous talent in reading that. Bravo!

reading this heartfelt write again, my dear Annalise. I was feeling kind of sad and wrote a sonnet for Sue today. Hope you're feeling much better - I am in general. Love always to you both xx I look forward to writing with you, my friend - any subject is fine with me if my suggestion didn't inspire you

Wow,your words really capture that feeling, that horrible horrible feeling of rejection, with a glimmer of hope in the end. Super poem

They say there's nothing fair in love or war. I think we`'ve all lost a time or two. I enjoyed seeing it from a woman's view. Nice job
