So Sad Indeed

So sad indeed.
When all you see
is faults in me.

So sad indeed.
You thought you really had me,
right under your spell.
When all you've done  
is made my life a living hell.

So sad indeed.
Wish that I could put an end
to your tormented mind.
Perhaps only then
inner peace you will find.

So sad indeed.
I hear your plead.
I was there for your needs.

So sad indeed.
Now I've closed the door.
Not to reopen anymore.
I won't let you in.
We're not enemies
but we're not friends.

So sad indeed.
How sad you'll be.
Someday I hope you see.
That I was not the enemy.
But it may be too late then
for you and me.
