So Proud a Nation
South Africa, South Africa
so proud a nation
as a rainbow fades
the dry wind pervades
whilst we impress more
with less
how we turn gold to lead
as millions bled
for what? What for, really?
are we divided?
undecided?
uncertain
as the rope tugs the curtain?
