So Near, Yet So Far
He looks
She smiles
Same smile
Same attire
He smiles back
Vain hope
Does he see her wave?
Wishful thinking
Waits for more signs
Signs of recognition
Sadly, there are none
But smile still intact
Literally frozen
His mind thaws
Races back
Colourful kaleidoscope
Loving emotions
Cheery laughter
Broad grins
Naughty comments
Screen turns pink
Battery dying
Recharge- simple
But recharging life
No simple thing
Smile continues to enchant
Screen turns black
Smile vanishes
Dead!
More than battery
Still she lives
So near, yet so far.
