So Many Ways

so many ways to thank you
not enough ways to say it
you remind me of the simple things
as a result, i slow down

so many ways to appreciate you
not enough ideas to show it
you remind me of the less fortunate
as i result, i stop and think

so many ways to honor you
not enough trophies to award you
you remind me of other happenings in the world
as a result, i take time to inform

so many ways to love you
not enough time (it seems) to prove it
you remind me of so many ways to actually love
as a result, i am a better man
