So Many Smiles, So Many Tears

Plays, movies, lives of joy, grief, and everything in-between.
Characters that come and go, some to love, to hate, to...forgive.
Days fall like leaves, skeletons of trees, point to a yellow moon.
Memories are sometimes spiked by a smell or scene, to stop you.
Tears press forth for some kindness, afforded...someone, like me?
The deepest is hardest, to be haunted with blue eyes, in the night!
I lie here waiting for the end, so many smiles, so many tears, and
No... I will not fear the reaper!

Living it is how a life is well lived. My take away anyway. Reminds me of the vinegar tasters...

We crucify ourselves between two thieves: regret for yesterday and fear of tomorrow.
