So Many Bridges To Cross
So many bridges to cross before I get home
My mind starts to wander my spirit shall roam
The rivers seem wider the hills too steep
The still water is getting way too deep.
So many bridges to cross to get back to you
The sun dries the grass of the cool morning dew
I'd give you the sun, the stars and the moon
I think I might be there arriving quite soon.
So many bridges to cross wonder if I lost my way
There's some misunderstanding of just what I say
Just like a ship that leaves the safety of the bay
The vast ocean before me seems to get in the way
So many bridges to cross maybe I've come to the last
So many behind me they seem to fill up the past
I just need a place but it escapes me somehow
So many bridges to cross I better get going now.
