Serene azure sky departs 
Drifts off on summer’s last breeze 
Silent gardens grieve their loss 
Lingering nights of lazy heat 
All but a distant dream it seems 
Summer bids fare well to all
Pumpkins glow as magic mists do fall

A warm welcome home to Poetry Soup Elaine. I enjoyed reading your first post. I love the autumn season and Halloween holds a special place in my heart as all three of my children have their birthdays in the first week of November so we would have a birthday celebration on Halloween for all three, and my kids loved it.
