So Long Sammy Snail - Nursery Rhyme

My new best friend was Sammy Snail
I found him slithering in my pail
I tried to keep him without fail
But from my pail he did abseil!
Our kitchen wall he tried to scale
Dad took him out, I start to wail
my little face it turned quite pale
I really miss dear Sammy Snail
