So It Seems
I stroll through the parks meandering paths,
By trees, statues, ponds, reminiscent of
A giant board game; challenges greeted,
Met on the roll of a dice – so it seems.
Beyond the railings, an effervescent
City, bathed in evening sunlight. Take
In a different amusement; a game
To some, not so to others – so it seems.
Still further a country and then a world
Where billions wander like termites. Only
Bigger games and bigger stakes; this is not
Amusing to many, or – so it seems.
And farthest of all, imagination
Reaches. Roll the cosmic dice – so it seems.
