So Great a Love

So great a love,
So little known.
The love of Jesus
Christ is shown.

So little known,
Is this great love.
What love it is
From God up above.

The love that brought Him to this earth,
To live a human’s life.
The love that nailed Him to the cross,
He bore our sins and strife.

What love could be,
For us He bled.
Our sin sick souls,
He quieted.

A greater love,
Could ne’er be told,
They put Him in
A grave so cold.

What other love,
Could raise Him to live,
And all our follies,
And mistakes forgive?

So little known,
Is this great love.
So few have known
The Heavenly Dove.

With everyone,
And introduce them
To God’s Son.
