So Glad I Was Home

Love came to call...
I let her in, and she sang while she lingered.
She made me smile with her promises to
Deliver happy tomorrows and tickled my
Senses with soft whispered endearments,
Raising my sleeping spirit.
The room filled with my laughter and before
I knew it, I looked forward to tomorrow,
Love's promises fulfilled!

I usually avoid love poems, thinking the world has enough of them, but this one is a wonderful expression of the genre. Love the phrase "Senses with soft sleeping endearments".
