So Far From the Sea This Gull Flies

he skimmed this gelid air on a gossamer breath ascending then descending adrift like my wishes perhaps he was lost like i in my unspoken thoughts just wanting to be anywhere other than where he should be i closed my eyes imagining soaring on his wings aloft on dreams as i spiraled into the arms of your love momentarily content

So nice! I love to watch the birds at the ocean. and I agree it reminds me of the song Chris mentioned. I too, love that song.. Well written Sandra :)

Thank you Heidi I love to watch them as well. I am a little inland but sometimes they come around our area and make me wish I was at the oceans edge watching them :) hugs

Has me singing the song "Seagull" by Bad Company (one of my favorites) as is your beautifully free flowing poem my friend. This one took me away on those same wings. Wonderfully written.

Thank you so much Chris...every so often we get them around here, we are maybe an hour or so to the closest beach... when i see them, it makes me want summer again... hugs
