So Close To Love

You promised me once,
That you would never,
Hurt me.
And that you,
Would never blame me.

But where are you now?
My heart is broken,
And so is the promise,
The one you said,
You would never break.

Roses are blue,
Violets are red,
You’re the one I said,
I’d run away with.

Vows that cannot be replaced,
Promises of love and friendship,
And hope in a new beginning are ruined,
And also broken without a second glance.

Some promises are kept,
Others are remains of its original form,
Never to prosper again.
