So Afraid

I’m so afraid that I’ll never reach my goals.
I’m so afraid that I’ll die before I’m old.
In a world of pain and suffering,
What’s the point in trying?
I’m finding love is hard to find.
I’m so afraid I’ll die alone.
Will I ever have somebody to call my own?
I’m so afraid to let myself down.
Even more afraid to not live up to what everybody expects of me.
What is the point in living,
When you’re so afraid that you’ll never be happy?
