Snowy Day In England

What a cold day in England! Snow covered the whole atmosphere.Every being is shivering in cold.It seem the whole London is locked in a deep freezer. Our blood got thick.Nothing is moving,no sound is heard except the quiet tick tock. The hooting owl is dying. Then we saw..... Some pieces of snow melting before the sun rise~ Twenty-first february.

I know this feeling, all too well.... I live in Wisconsin, in the United States, and our temperatures often drop below zero degrees in the wintertime.... You described those feelings perfectly, Cornel! Great work!

Hi Cornel, It's nice to meet you here. Winter lasted a long time in the U.S. too. Some places had snow in early May! Enjoyed the way you described the silence that accompanies snowfall. I'll be traveling to London in October. Hope that's a good time of year to visit. This is the first Haibun I've ever read and I like the way you use the form to describe winter! Best wishes, Carolyn
