Snowy Day Here In New York

As snowfall falls on the ground
     the day begins 
Looking out of my window 
    memories return 
of old politics, family, lovers,friends
   Amidst the holidays - XMAS, Chanukah, Kwaanza
     Festivus 
I find peace 
            in a blanket of white
