Snowy Day Here In New York

As snowfall falls on the ground the day begins Looking out of my window memories return of old politics, family, lovers,friends Amidst the holidays - XMAS, Chanukah, Kwaanza Festivus I find peace in a blanket of white

Beautiful Matthew, what a sweet way to avoid the cold... I sure wish we had a bit of that white blanket here in Texas.. enjoyed ,, always,, P.D.

The snow makes even New York streets seem peaceful. Got a kick out of "festivus" as I remember that Seinfeld episode so well. Snow always fills me with introspection too, my friend. Lovely poem. Happy new year! Carolyn
