Snowflakes

Thoughts like snowflakes falling freely
from the sky,
Moments wishing to remember and
memories wanting to forget,
Times have moved forward and destinies
have changed,
Why can some press on so easily and
others struggle so with the past,
Its as if the earth has stopped turning and
that one instant stays in mind,
Frozen footprints in the sands of time,
Trying so desperately to reach for that
furthest flake,
hoping it will fix what has been broken
and put life in such disarray,
But the flakes just melt away as soon as
they are touched,
Dripping to the ground collecting great
pools to drowned the strongest soul...
