Snowflake

Snowflakes cascade from the sky
Scattering on the barren earth below
All unique in their own way
No mirror images only one of a kind

Could have picked any
of these crystals of ice
this one snowflakes was all mine
Precious it encased my heart

Over time that snowflake melted
No longer visible of its former self
Its shape became unrecognizable
It changed over time.
