Notes About The Poem

Snow Globe

Snow Globe

Looking in the picture window
at an old time country store.
I had a vision from the past
of things not seen before.

A farmer on a tractor
a ballerina in a show.
Living life inside a globe
you shake to make it snow.

A young boy with a puppy
a little girl on a walk.
A fisherman just fishing
while sitting on a rock.

When suddenly it happened
I felt something start to change.
It seemed the world around me
began to rearrange.

A man out side a window
of an old time country store.
My eyes could see my heart still beat
but I couldn't move no more.

An old man smiled and lifted me
and placed me in his store window.
He shook the globe I'm living in
and it began to snow.
