Snow Day

Here comes the cloud.
Large, grey and proud.
Slowly approaching to let out the snow...

Parents, no fear!
Children will cheer
As they build snowmen with faces aglow!

Oh Natasha, those were the days, were't they? I loved making snow forts and snowmen with my kids as they grew up in Vermont. Such memorable times. Always failed to find a snowman's mouth! I loved those days as a teacher as well, if there was a snow day :) This is a delightful poem to win with, congrads!

Even at my age I still love to be out in the snow building a snowman (don't like the falling over part though lol). Seeing and hearing the children and people enjoying the snow lifts the spirit. Enjoyed your poem Natasha, Emilia.

It truly does lift the spirits to see people having fun in the snow. Our neighbors kids take a sledge up the hill in a field and slide down the snow. Lol. And there's always a snowman left at the top to gradually melt. Lol
