Snow

There has been a dark shadow
In my world of light
It has engulfed and consumed all of me
In my time it has left me cold and bitter
And blinded my sight from the light
 
Now that I look back on the path that I made
And the all consuming shadow that I made
I notice it has faded into the past
This path I had made
 
In my shadow I was alone
Not understanding I was the foe
Until you started to walk in the snow
I felt every flake flow with a glow
 
Now I look back on my world
All I see are flakes of snow
Flowing from the heavens with love
Showing me things from above
 
Thank you for being my snow
