Notes About The Poem

Entry for New Chance with Pleiades for the New Year Poetry Contest: Sponsored by:Andrea Dietrich

Snow

Soft fell upon your shrine
Settling, covering words
So lately graved, did those
Snowflakes; winters first fall
Since sorrows darkness smite;
Summer’s tokens fading,
Shrouded, by snow, on stone.

Terry, your poem has touched me deeply this morning. You have vividly described this scene and the somber mood that accompanies it! Janice
