Snooze Alarm

Streetlights flicker in daybreaks doubt. Grayish clouds mope lazily. Sunrise smirks at the early risers. Dewdrops dangle on yellowed leaves. A cat shakes his wet paws. Robins wrangle chilled worms. A squirrel maps his acorn field. Frail winds stifle the hawk’s wings. Late bloomers shiver in the sun’s lie. School bus stops chatter. The old dog yawns and looks at the door. John G.
