Sneaky Santa

It really is very shocking,

when you start to think

and you wonder how he does it

and then vanishes in a blink.

It feels a little creepy,

when he is watching all year long

and knows if we have been bad or good

it says so in the song.

Things seem strange you know,

a man in a big red suit

Sneaking in like a thief

with a big red bag of loot.

Santa is sneaky,

it is like nothing you have known

and yet you leave him out treats

while he is breaking into your home.

You know that I am kidding,

and messing with your head

ignore all my playful banter

with every word I said.

Santa is a cherished story,

a child’s dearest friend

they write to him every year

till next year comes again.

Merry Christmas North Pole,

to Santa, his elves, and deer

here is to the holiday

and lots of Christmas cheer.

we spend all the time telling children not to talk to strangers then encourage them to sit on his knee and tell them he comes into our house in the middle of the night - quite scary really! lovely festive write Jess lovely to see you back here:-) Hugs Jan xxx
