Love those last 4 lines. Photos aren’t all that old…but those moments fade into the distance…

Sara, this is a stunning piece of imagism. The brevity of your short, free verse form perfectly mirrors the fleeting nature of a memory. I absolutely love the personification of the curled snapshot "shivering" in the drawer, and the hauntingly beautiful imagery of its blank center softly glowing as the past tries to return. It is incredibly concise yet leaves a lasting emotional impact. Thank you for sharing such an evocative piece!
