You sized me up with limited vision made your decision about who I am- on fleeting impressions made in mere seconds wrong as can be, but you don't give a ____! At which moment did shutter click in what second was I seen? (Was I caught in awkward elegance- a wistful sigh an angry glance at my worst or at my best or somewhere in-between?) How did you define or classify me? ...could you confine or categorize me? If you had taken more than one shot of me- you would surely contradict yourself.

Two of my best pals ever gave me such a scary first impression, I avoided them and ran from them! I knew there was something different, and I did not want to stick around and find out what. When I did, I was the one who felt weird. Maybe I knew them from a former life? I have no idea, but they both became forever friends in the end, when I got smarter.

It's so strange how that happens... most of the time, my intuition is pretty spot-on when I meet people in-person, but every once in a while it goes on the fritz and I totally misread them.

This is so true. Of how we size people up without really getting to know them. I did that to a girl who became one of my best friends after I had formed a negative opinion of her at first!

Funny how we all hate this when it's done to us, but it's so easy to inflict on others... I've been guilty of it, too. :(
