Snakes They’ll lay with you Tracing skeletons Whispering songs To let them in You say no Who could trust a snake? But the more you lay together Your heart is not so scared It cracks open Slightly Just enough For the snake to slip right in In the moment Before it flees Your heart feels whole Like the crack Was always meant to be
