Smile At Me

when your lips
smiled at me
they captured me

to each his own

i love you like
only little children
love pennies

or cupcakes

that is why it is
so hard for me
to admit that...

even with the
metallic
taste of coins
in my mouth

what follows
is the sweet taste
of a chocolate
cupcake in my
mouth

makes me
lost without you......

I see talent runs in the family! A wonderful poem Mindy. Problem is, I am now craving a cupcake! Love, Shar
