Have you ever noticed
How a smile's the perfect start
To brighten any stranger's day
Or to melt the coldest heart

It can even turn away anger
As things get out of hand
Or used to show confusion
When we don't quite understand

A smile can show compassion
To a child who's lost their way
Or comfort one who's lonely
To show them it's ok

It also shows affection
And tells them that you care
It evens tells someone you're shy
Or thank you when they share

So keep a smile within you
And hide it in your heart
For when it's time to change the world
You can do your part
