Smell the Roses

Life is too short To write testaments of pain Upon your beautiful face. Find love while the sun shines So you may blossom in warmth When the night finally knows your name. Life is too short To see a soldier and smell war When deep in his eyes Lies veins of patriotism and sacrifice. Learn the art of love For you are a written epistle, to all men. Life is too short To see a brother walk on the sea And say he knows not how to swim. Take some time off Tell your shadow to say after you While you recite the pledge of brotherhood. Life is too short To think about the battles you fought And the treasures you lost When surely, we shall find joy. Say prayers before you sleep And toast with heaven in your dreams. Wake up and smell the roses For you're the beauty of mankind Michael Ace #magicalpoetry ©ACEworld
