Small Price To Pay For Truth

calls to truth were ignored
he flew into smaller steps,
and plowed crop circles

traveling the same path
of denial, it was only truth
that he feared

and the only thing
that unbound the mask,
behind which he hid

~~~~~
To find between one breath
and the next
the courage to face futures
mapped and plotted
but not,
of his own design
~~~~~

I burnt all his masks
courage came at a price

there was nothing I wouldn’t pay
