Slumber's Passion

I loved you 'tween the rushes of love
       and downpours of ecstasy,
amidst windswept rapture of the ages,
'til the perfect storm ravaged our destiny
left behind crumpled passages in its wake
still, I hold those love letters to my breast
  whence those dreams of passion
       breathe renewed mid dormant slumber

Now this is immaculate poetry right here..."amidst windswept rapture of the ages" What a line! Passionate words, very delightfully archaic and romantic. Amidst "downpours of ecstasy, and "dreams of passion", we may relive such reveries in our slumbers. Not always the case, but when it is, it is a grand experience. Always, Laura

Full marks to you, Paloma! Such a lovely write! Despite everything, love and passion hold the upper hand! I can still feel the lingering taste of "the rushes of love and downpours of ecstasy"! Regards // paul

Yep, love is the stronger, transcending face and place...for the heart is a universe unlimited to explore. If love is in you, you will always find it without. Great write!

what a wonderful swirl of words, a rush of wanting, romantically penned.

You know, as bright as you are, you could probably figure out how to record some of these then we could actually hear you whisper these words. Take me to the next level. Please!

With this New Yawker accent, it won't sound so soothing, besides we never whisper! :) Thanks Daniel for making me smile.

Oh my, this poem literally just took my breath away. Paloma, if someone (preferably a lady) wrote a poem like this for me, I would be floating in the clouds somewhere with no landing place in site. This is amazingly beautiful, so filled with love and desire and everything else that makes a heart smile.
