Slumber Thee My Soul To Rest

Sojourn my
Little one
Under the umbrella of
My love.
Be not afraid,
Endeared to me the
Romances of thy heart.

To sleep my beloved,
Have faith that
Every time thou awakest
Each dawn brings thee closer to me.

My love is all
You need.

So sleep the good sleep
Of thy soul.
Upon my gentle breast
Lay

Thy head.
Oh my beloved I

Receive thy soul
Echoing heavenward
So be not afraid,
The Eternal Father welcomes thee home.

Hi Funom, thank you for your kind words. This is one of my older poems and my newest one; My English Rose is the first I have written for some time. Kind regards Edward
