The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Slow Burn

Watch what you want to see
Listen to what you want to hear
Some most definitely will disagree
The boundaries are very unclear

Emotions are much at stake
It grows during your sleep
Lives while your awake
Each moment it begins to creep

There is no escape
Not everyone should be free
Changing us to a formless shape
What may be you, could be me

The false takers of love
Broken hearts that may never return
Victims chose to fit like a glove
Lost in the ashes of a slow burn….
