Slipping

I feel you slipping from me
Things are no longer the same as they used to be
We'd share all of our stories
Parables of our good times and our maladies
Open as a book, but as mysterious as can be
You used to read my poetry
They were a mirror into my agony
But I've had a change of heart
They're a window into my destiny
As we move further apart physically
Our minds become distant mentally
Our hearts no longer colliding spiritually
There's much to you I see as key
Key to what every woman should be
But the ideal woman will forever slip from me
