Slightly Fat

I heard about a study Which had proof that where it’s at, In terms of living longest, Is to be just slightly fat. When one weighs sixty pounds too much, That person is obese. The chances of a lengthy life Have started to decrease. But someone who is overweight By up to thirty pounds May outlive all the skinny folk, As crazy as it sounds. There’s cause for celebration For the chubby and the plump; And dieters may pack it in, For science holds the trump!

Well, more pounds, more love to give and more to receive. That is my kind of poetry fleshy and full. Beautifully written and wonderfully presented! Thank you.

For women, being overweight may be detrimental health wise, but they feel so good when I hold them in my arms. As usual, you have written a great poem.

Ilene you have written another wonderful poem. I absolutely love your poems. You are definitely my muse. We all need a little fat to keep us insulated / to stimulate immunities / and our heart un-fibrillated / we need chocolate also and a contented wife / as the magic tonic for a long and healthy life

So if I lose ten I can eat again. I'll see what I can do. But sadly, I'll never begin for I truly love to chew. You'd think they'd have this figured out with all that we have learned. But I think we've all conceded that it's fat that must be burned.

Hmmm! So my 40 pound weight loss in the last six months is all for naught? Oh well I think I'm still in the 30 pound overweight range anyway so I can still celebrate, right! LOL
