Slighted

My secrets are bestowed,
Upon the chosen few
Oh please, don’t feel slighted
If one of them's not you
For I need one to confide in
And this is sad, but true
The conclusions that you jump to
Are in words you misconstrue
You'll resurrect a rumor
If you think it can be run
You'll cut one down in humor
But insist it's all in fun
Yeah, I don't trust your intent
Your tongue's a vicious blade
And I won't share my thoughts with you
'Cause that's how lies are made

Very cool and nicely expressed feelings in this. I have known some like this, who cut down other's claiming it is all in fun...well there is nothing fun about making another person feel bad. I really enjoyed your piece.
