Slide Away
We could slide away
Straight into tomorrow
Because it's my day
That's feeling hollow
Maybe i could shine too
Because i need permission
Just as we do
It has to be your decision
I can't go about my pain
I just can't leave it alone
I'm just another link in the chain
Over your world i've only flown
Seen from a distance
Out of reach
It's like forever diffidence
That they teach
But to be shy
Isn't a weakness
It's my sky
That's been thrown into bleakness
I'm gone like the wind
Swept into the air
As i walked away you grinned
And i was blinded by the glare
So if these words were my last
I would have to tell my stories
The things in my past
Because all we have are memories
