Sleepy Heads

In insular cocoons lie sleepy heads curled Can a deluge of death rouse a somnolent world

It took Pearl Harbor last time, which really irks me. What will it take this time, if we are even able to respond once the devil comes to this shore? At least stop buying oil from Russia, even if we have to open our own pipelines again for at least a while! Urgent action without totally shutting down American and allied transportation. We could share our oil, the world isn't set up for enough power yet with other options & cutting Russia off from selling oil may hurt a tiny bit more, at least!

Wow! This does speak. I suppose we shall see, but it may not be what we expect. Well done.

It's harder for some \\ Till it's brought close to home. \\ And often too late \\ when they "make the world Rome." \\

I think it will, and it will be a rude awakening.

It did not in WW2 GW, I'm afraid that not much has changed in that regard!

You are so correct, Mr. History Professor, Dr. Gentile. If it hadn't been for Pearl Harbor, only God knows what would have happened. What will wake us up this time? Isn't what we're seeing Putin do in Ukraine enough for us?!!! (Apparently not. 'Doesn't touch us.' What a joke. We're next.). ~ gw

G.W., I certainly hope that world governments will do much more than impose sanctions and simply watch from the sidelines...ab

A powerful poem, Gershon ! We can rouse people who are asleep, but cannot wake those who pretend to be asleep!
