Sleepwalking

What inspires me to write poetry
is inspired by much variety.
A beautiful landscape may inspire me
or maybe a certain period of history.
Sometimes I'm inspired when I innocently
eaves drop on others while they are talking,
but ironically my best poetry
has been written while I was sleepwalking.
It's spooky but true.
I wouldn't lie to you.

...(Yawn) Excuse me. I just woke up. Did I write this?

LOL Yes, my best idea come just as I'm dropping off to sleep, so it comes as no surprise that yours enter your mind while you're sleepwalking, Bill. But be assured, you DID write this while you were awake. We have to be careful and write those thoughts down the moment we wake up or they are lost forever. Excellent poem for my faves, Bill! Love, Carolyn
