Sleepless Dream
Once upon a midnight dream
I slept in restlessness
My appearance, different than what it seemed
The vision portrays my stress
In a clod sweat I pant and scream
Nothing can conceal my fright
I try and hide form my dream
I can't hold out through the night
Now we enter the depths of my mind
To see what lies inside
To find monsters of all kinds
To find the secrets that I hide
What do you see in my mind eye?
What horrors lie beneath?
Do you lie under a blackened sky?
Does a monster flash his teeth?
There is nothing more to fear
My eyes are open wide
My panting is all I hear
Under my covers is where I hide
