Sleepless

So many sleepless nights, while the darkness fills the house.
I sit there, lay there, roll there, flop there, while the darkness fills the house.
I swim in the pool, sweep the floor, read a book, while the darkness fills the house.
I shower, primp, and groom, while the darkness fills the house.
I write, I write, I ponder, I write, while the darkness fills the house.
The one thing I don’t do is sleep, while the darkness fills the house.
