Sleepless
Sleepless, as the night passes on, and i toss and turn in the dead of night.
Remembering things i rather forget, like her lips from a time ago.
Sleepless, as my mind races, and my only companion the dark.
It's wrapped around me as tightly as a bundled new born in winter.
Sleepless, hearing the snores of my animals around me.
So peaceful, this time of night, compared to my impacient sighs.
Sleepless, waiting for my romeo of night to drag me into a deep slumber.
I read, I type, I hum, I sigh, I watch tv and try to be unaware.
Sleepless, I see the suns first rays and only at morning.
My mistress may bade me slumber.
