Sleepless

“This will help you sleep” they said. “You can’t die from lack of sleep” they added. Then why am I in a hospital? Surrounded by doctors? Feeling dizzy… Dizzy in a bad way, sure. My life is flashing before my eyes, for some reason. Which is agonizing. But at least I’m getting closer to sleeping. The doctors called my parents. Who both thought something bad had happened. They rush in, to find me lying lazily in bed. We share a hug and I say something to comfort them. Deciding it’s best not to tell them about the evil laughter.
