"sleeping Rose"

We stand like a Rose...
Our head straight to our toes..
Pedals fall from our head..
Still looking strong and not dead..
Our stems with thorns..
A fragrant that allures...
Side by side we grow..
Paraded in a garden we show...
Till the cold wilts us away...
Our beauty will rule the day...
Spring returns with life...
I hope we slept well tonight..

We all have our moments of beauty in the sun "until the cold wilts us away," Michael. These are moments to be treasured always. Enjoyed your poem, my friend. Love, Carolyn
