Sleeping Downstairs

I should be upstairs.

Where the bed is.

I’m up late.

Thinking about how far I’ve gone.

Up and down the stairs all day.

I shouldn’t be sleeping downstairs.

It’s dangerous, it’s a secret.

My parents are asleep and I am alone.

Downstairs, I am the only one.
